The death toll of Odia workers in the Tamil Nadu gas tragedy has risen to nine after Rita Juang from Tangiri Dubanali Sahi under Telkoi block of Keonjhar district succumbed during treatment. Several victims from Keonjhar had travelled to Tamil Nadu for work, and their bodies are now being brought back to their native villages. The tragedy has left families devastated, with grief-stricken scenes witnessed across affected villages. Locals have urged the government to provide adequate compensation and support to the bereaved families.
