ଲଘୁଚାପ ଜନିତ ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଯୋଗୁଂ ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ ଛୁଇଁଲା ଜଳକା । କ୍ରମଶଃ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉଛି ଜଳକା ନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର । ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ବସ୍ତା ବ୍ଲକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ମଥାନୀ ଠାରେ ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ 6.50 ମିଟର ରହିଥିବା ବେଳେ ସକାଳ 6ଟା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଜଳସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇ 6.50 ମିଟରରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି । ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଥିବା ଲଘୁଚାପ ଯୋଗୁଂ ଗତ ଦୁଇଦିନ ଧରି ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ସମେତ ଜଳକା ନଦୀର ଉପର ମୁଣ୍ଡ ପଡୋଶୀ ମୟୁରଭଞ୍ଜ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ଲାଗି ରହିଛି । ରାସଗୋବିନ୍ଦପୁର,ମୋରଡା,ଶୁଳିଆପଦା,ଚିତ୍ରଡା ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା କାରଣରୁ କ୍ରମଶଃ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉଛି ନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର ।
Continuous rainfall caused by the low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal has pushed the Jalaka River to the danger level, raising flood concerns in Odisha's Balasore district. At Mathani in Basta Block, the river was flowing at the danger mark of 6.50 metres as of 6:00 AM, with the water level continuing to rise. Heavy rainfall over the past two days in the upstream areas of Mayurbhanj, including Rasgovindpur, Morada, Suliapada and Chitrada, has significantly increased the river's discharge, prompting growing concern among residents and authorities.
