ମିସାଇଲ୍ ‘କୁଶ’ର ସଫଳ ପରୀକ୍ଷଣ। ଅବଦୁଲ କଲାମ୍ ଦ୍ୱୀପରୁ ଦୂରଗାମୀ ଭୂପୃଷ୍ଠରୁ ଆକାଶକୁ ନିକ୍ଷେପ କରାଯାଉଥିବା ମିସାଇଲ୍ ‘କୁଶ’ର ସଫଳ ପରୀକ୍ଷଣ ହୋଇଛି। ଯାହାକୁ ପ୍ରତିରକ୍ଷା ଗବେଷଣା ଓ ବିକାଶ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମାଇଲଷ୍ଟୋନ୍ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଉଛି। ଶତ୍ରୁପକ୍ଷର ଫାଇଟର ଜେଟ୍, କ୍ରୁଜ୍ ମିସାଇଲ୍, ଡ୍ରୋନ୍ ଏବଂ ବୃହତ ସାମରିକ ବିମାନକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାରେ ଏହା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସକ୍ଷମ। ଏହି ବାୟୁ ପ୍ରତିରକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଣାଳୀକୁ ରୁଷିଆର ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ S-400 ଟ୍ରାୟମ୍ଫ ଏବଂ ଆମେରିକାର ପାଟ୍ରିଅଟ୍ ସିଷ୍ଟମ ସହ ତୁଳନା କରାଯାଉଛି।
India has successfully test-fired the long-range surface-to-air missile Kusha from Abdul Kalam Island, marking a significant milestone in the country's defence research and development programme. The advanced air defence system is designed to intercept and destroy enemy fighter jets, cruise missiles, drones, and large military aircraft. The system is being compared with Russia’s S-400 Triumph and the United States’ Patriot air defence system, highlighting its strategic importance.
