Hirakud Water Level Rising, First Floodwater Release Scheduled for July 9

ବଢୁଛି ହୀରାକୁଦର ଜଳସ୍ତର। ଉପରମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ବର୍ଷା ଓ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ପ୍ରବେଶ ଯୋଗୁଁ ବଢୁଛି ଡ୍ୟାମର ଜଳସ୍ତର। ଆସନ୍ତା ୯ରେ ଛଡ଼ାଯିବ ପ୍ରଥମ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ।
The water level in the Hirakud Dam is steadily rising due to heavy rainfall and increased inflow from the upstream catchment areas. As of 9:00 AM, the reservoir level has reached 606.12 feet. The dam is receiving an average inflow of 1,79,812 cusecs per second, while 19,898 cusecs are being discharged. The first floodwater release is scheduled for 11:00 AM on July 9.
