Heavy Rain Disrupts Life in Athagarh as Floodwater Flows Over Old Cuttack–Sambalpur Road

ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷାରେ ଜନ ଜୀବନ ଅସ୍ତବ୍ୟସ୍ତ ହୋଇ ପଡିଛି। ଆଠଗଡରେ 24 ଘଣ୍ଟାରେ ପାଣିପାଗ ବିଭାଗ ସର୍ବାଧିକ ବର୍ଷା ରେକର୍ଡ କରିଛି। ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ବିଲରେ ଜମି ରହିଛି। ପୁରୁଣା କଟକ ସମ୍ବଲପୁର ରାସ୍ତାର ଚମ୍ପାପୁର ନିକଟରେ ରାସ୍ତା ଉପରେ ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି। ଯେଉଁଥି ପାଇଁ ଯାତାୟତ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକେ ନାହିଁ ନଥିବା ଅସୁବିଧାର ସମ୍ମୁଖୀନ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି।

Continuous rainfall over the past two days has severely disrupted normal life in Athagarh, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) recording the highest rainfall in the area during the last 24 hours. Floodwater has accumulated in agricultural fields, while water is flowing over the Old Cuttack–Sambalpur Road near Champapur, affecting vehicular movement. Commuters are facing significant inconvenience as the inundated road continues to hamper traffic amid the ongoing spell of heavy rain.
