Abhijit Dipke, founder-president of the Cockroach Janata Party, has strongly condemned the alleged police lathi-charge, calling it "barbaric" and stating that legal action will be initiated against the police officials involved. He also alleged that outsiders were being deliberately sent to create trouble during the protest. Referring to the ongoing agitation, Dipke said it has entered its 34th day and claimed that Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike is continuing.
