ଯାଜପୁରରେ ବନ୍ୟା ସ୍ଥିତି ଗମ୍ଭୀର। ବନ୍ୟା କମୁଛି କିନ୍ତୁ ଘାଇ ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା ବଢ଼ିଛି । ୧୦୦ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ୨୫୦ ଗାଁ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ପାଖାପାଖି ଏକ ଲକ୍ଷ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ୧୦ ହଜାର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ୟତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରାଯାଇଛି। ବୈତରଣୀ ଓ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀ ରେ ଜଳସ୍ତର ବଢ଼ିବା ଆଶଙ୍କା ରହିଛି। ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବୈତରଣୀ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀ ଖରସ୍ରୋତା ବୁଢ଼ା ଆଦି ବିଭିନ୍ନ ନଦୀରେ ଯେଉଁ ୭ଟି ଘାଇ ହୋଇଛି। ପୁଣି ଗତ ଦିନରେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀ ନଦୀ ରେ ୪ଟି ଘାଇ ହୋଇଥବା ବେଳେ ବରିର ଅନେକ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ପଶିଥବା ବେଳେ ପୁଣି ରାତିରେ ଖରସ୍ରୋତା ନଦୀର ଶାଖା ନଦୀ ନୂଆ ମାହାରା ନିକଟରେ ଘାଇ ହୋଇଛି।
The flood situation in Jajpur remains critical even as floodwaters begin to recede, with fresh embankment breaches worsening the crisis. Around 100 Gram Panchayats and 250 villages have been affected, impacting nearly one lakh people, while 10,000 residents have been shifted to safer locations. Water levels in the Baitarani and Brahmani rivers are expected to rise further. A total of seven embankment breaches have been reported across the Baitarani, Brahmani, Kharasrota and Budha rivers. Four breaches occurred in the Brahmani River the previous day, allowing floodwaters to enter several areas of Bari, while a fresh breach was reported overnight near Nua Mahara on a branch of the Kharasrota River, further aggravating the flood situation. #OdishaTV#OTV
