ଭାସିଗଲା ସବୁକିଛି...ବନ୍ୟାରେ ବର୍ବାଦ...କିଛି ବି ଆଉ ବାକି ନାହିଁ....ମାଟିରେ ମିଶିଯାଇଛି ଚଷାପୁଅର ବର୍ଷକର ଦାନାପାଣି। ଯେଉଁଠି ୮ରୁ ୧୦ ଫୁଟ ଉଚ୍ଚରେ ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ଲହଡ଼ି ଖେଳୁଛି, ସେଇଠି ବା ଫସଲ ଆଶା କରିବ କିଏ ? ଆଠଗଡ଼ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଦୃଶ୍ୟ ଇଏ। ମହାନଦୀର ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ମାଡ଼ିଯିବାରୁ କାକୁଡ଼ିରୁ କଲରା, ଜହ୍ନିରୁ ବାଇଗଣ ସବୁ ନଷ୍ଟ। ଯାହା ଖଣ୍ଡେ ଅଧେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିଯାଇଛି, ତାକୁ ତୋଳି ନେଉଛନ୍ତି ଚାଷୀ। ଆଠଗଡ଼ ଭଳି ତିଗିରିଆ ଏବଂ ବାଙ୍କି ବ୍ଲକର ଅନେକ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତରେ ଏବେ ଏଭଳି ସ୍ଥିତି।
Floodwaters from the Mahanadi River have devastated vegetable farms in Athagarh, Tigiria, and Banki, leaving farmers with massive losses. In several areas, floodwaters reached 8 to 10 feet, submerging farmland and destroying crops such as cucumber, bitter gourd, ridge gourd, and brinjal. Farmers are now trying to salvage whatever produce remains, but large parts of the standing crop have already been washed away. The floods have dealt a severe blow to livelihoods across the affected regions.
