CM Takes Big Action Over Textbook Errors; Former SCERT Director Suspended

ପିଲାଙ୍କ ବହିରେ ବ୍ୟାପକ ତ୍ରୁଟିକୁ ନେଇ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ବଡ଼ ଆକ୍ସନ୍ । ପୂର୍ବତନ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ SCERT ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ମନୋଜ ପାଢ଼ୀ ନିଲମ୍ବିତ । ବହିରେ ତ୍ରୁଟିକୁ ନେଇ ଜିରୋ ଟଲରାନ୍ସ ନୀତି ଆପଣାଇଛନ୍ତି ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ। ମନୋଜ ପାଢ଼ୀ SCERT ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ବହି ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ତେଣୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଚାକିରୀରୁ ନିଲମ୍ବିତ କରାଯାଇଛି । ତାସହ ୩ ସହକାରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ପ୍ରଲିପ୍ତା ମିଶ୍ର, ଦିଲୀପ ସାହୁ ଏବଂ ଭାରତୀ ଟୁଡୁଙ୍କୁ ବି କରାଯାଇଛି ସସପେଣ୍ଡ । ୬ ଜଣ ସହକାରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ ବନ୍ଦିତା ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ, ମାନସ ରଞ୍ଜନ ରାଉତ, ମନୋରଞ୍ଜନ ମହାପାତ୍ର, ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତ କୁମାର ସାହୁ, ମାନସ କୁମାର ନାୟକ ଏବଂ ଡକ୍ଟର ସୁଦର୍ଶନ ସନ୍ତରାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆକ୍ସନ୍ ହୋଇଛି । ଗତକାଲି ହିଁ ବହି ତ୍ରୁଟିକୁ ନେଇ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ବୟାନ ରଖିଥିଲେ । ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଯିଏ ଦାୟୀ ତା ବିରୋଧରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ହେବ ଏବଂ ଏସବୁ ପଛରେ ଷଡ଼ଯନ୍ତ୍ର ହୋଇଥିବା କଥା ବି କହିଥିଲେ।

In a major action over widespread errors in school textbooks, the Chief Minister has ordered strict action against officials linked to the publication process. Former Director of Teacher Education and SCERT, Manoj Padhi, has been suspended as the textbooks were prepared during his tenure as SCERT Director. Three Assistant Directors — Pralipta Mishra, Dilip Sahu and Bharati Tudu — have also been suspended.
Adopting a zero-tolerance policy towards textbook errors, the Chief Minister had earlier stated that those responsible would face action. Disciplinary action has also been initiated against six Assistant Directors — Bandita Pattnaik, Manas Ranjan Rout, Manoranjan Mahapatra, Prashant Kumar Sahu, Manas Kumar Nayak and Dr Sudarshan Santara.
A day earlier, the Chief Minister had asserted that stringent action would be taken against all those found responsible for the lapses and had also alleged that a conspiracy could be behind the textbook errors.
