ହ୍ବାଟସଆପର "USER NAMES" ଫିଚରକୁ ନେଇ କଠୋର ଆଭିମୁଖ୍ୟ ଦେଖାଇଲେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାର । ରୋଲ୍ ଆଉଟ୍ ଉପରେ ରୋକ୍ ଲଗାଇବା ସହ ମେଟାକୁ ଜାରିହେଲା ନୋଟିସ୍ । ଏହି ନୂତନ ସୁବିଧା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅନଲାଇନ୍ ଠକେଇ, ପରିଚୟ ଚୋରି ଏବଂ ସାଇବର ଅପରାଧ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବାର ଆଶଙ୍କା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛି କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଇଲେକ୍ଟ୍ରୋନିକ୍ସ ଏବଂ ସୂଚନା ପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତିବିଦ୍ୟା ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଳୟ । ଏଥିପାଇଁ ୩ ଦିନରେ ଜବାବ ଦାଖଲ କରିବାକୁ ମେଟାକୁ ନୋଟିସ୍ ଜାରି କରାଯାଇଛି ।
The Central Government has taken a strict stand on WhatsApp's proposed 'Usernames' feature, halting its rollout and issuing a notice to Meta. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has raised concerns that the new feature could increase the risk of online fraud, identity theft, impersonation, and other cybercrimes. Meta has been asked to submit its response within three days regarding the security and privacy implications of the feature.
