A powerful earthquake struck central and northern Venezuela, sending shockwaves across the capital Caracas and nearby regions. Two strong tremors measuring 7.5 and 7.1 magnitude were reportedly felt within 45 seconds, causing damage to buildings and widespread panic among residents. People rushed out of homes and commercial establishments as several structures reportedly suffered damage. While fears of casualties remain, authorities have yet to release official figures. A tsunami alert was briefly issued following the quake but was later withdrawn.
