ବାହାଘରର ଖୁସିକୁ ଗିଳିଦେଲା କଳାରାତି । ହସଖୁସିର ଯାତ୍ରା...ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତରେ ପାଲଟିଗଲା ଶେଷଯାତ୍ରା । ପୋଖରୀରେ ବରଯାତ୍ରୀ ଗାଡ଼ି ବୁଡ଼ି ଚାଲିଗଲା ୫ ଜଣଙ୍କ ଜୀବନ । ଢେଙ୍କାନାଳ ସଦର ଥାନା ଇନ୍ଦିପୁର-ଛାଟିଆ ଗାଁ ନିକଟରେ ବିଳମ୍ବିତ ରାତିରେ ଘଟିଛି ଛାତିଥରା ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା । ବାହାଘରର ଖୁସିରେ ସାମିଲ ହେବାକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗାଡ଼ିରେ ବାହାରିଥିଲେ ସାତ ଜଣ । କିନ୍ତୁ ଗନ୍ତବ୍ୟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଅଧାବାଟରେ ଚାହିଁ ବସିଥିଲା ମୃତ୍ୟୁ । ଭାରସାମ୍ୟ ହରାଇ କାରଟି ଏକ ପୋଖରୀରେ ପଶିଯାଇଥିଲା । ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣାରେ ୫ ଜଣଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ହୋଇଥିବାବେଳେ ୨ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରି ଡାକ୍ତରଖାନାରେ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି କରାଯାଇଛି । ମର୍ମନ୍ତୁଦ ଘଟଣା ପରେ ସମଗ୍ର ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଶୋକର ଛାୟା ଖେଳିଯାଇଛି।

A joyous wedding journey ended in a heartbreaking tragedy after a baraat (wedding procession) car lost control and plunged into a pond near Indipur–Chhatia village under Dhenkanal Sadar Police Station late at night. Seven people were travelling in the car when the accident occurred before they could reach their destination.
Five occupants lost their lives in the mishap, while two others were rescued and admitted to hospital for treatment. The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire locality, turning a moment of celebration into one of grief.
