Historic Shri Ram Navami 2025 Celebrated in Bhadrak

Shri Ram Navami is celebrated with great uniqueness in Bhadrak district. With the participation of lakhs of devotees of Lord Shri Ram, a grand and majestic procession is held as part of the festivities. The sacred festival of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram sees countless devotees in Bhadrak gathering in groups from their respective areas and converging at the Nehru Stadium. The historic Ram Navami fair included a city-wide procession that was joined by the entire Bhadrak population.

Bhadrak is known as a district of communal harmony, where people invite each other for festivals and events regardless of religion. During Ram Navami, Hindus and Muslims celebrate together like brothers. Whether it’s Durga Puja, Ganesh Puja, or Kali Puja, all festivals are celebrated together in Bhadrak.

In 2025, Bhadrak celebrated its 36th Ram Navami festival with grandeur and unity. As lakhs of devotees gathered, over 100 beautifully decorated chariots (medhas) from various blocks of the district paraded through the city streets, finally assembling at the Ram Navami venue in Gandhi Padia. With powerful sound systems, diverse dance performances, modern musical instruments, and vibrant fireworks, Bhadrak city reverberated with festivity.

People from all castes, religions, and communities immersed themselves in chanting the praises of Lord Shri Ram, turning the entire city saffron-colored in spirit. The administration ensured tight law and order arrangements and stayed fully alert throughout. Various organizations and political parties distributed food and beverages to the public.

Notably, the Dwivedi Foundation Trust arranged lassi and cold drinking water for lakhs of devotees. The event was graced by former minister Prafulla Samal, Bhadrak Municipal Chairperson Gulmakki Habib, BJP leader and minister Surya Banshi Suraj, Bhadrak MLA Sitanshu Shekhar Mahapatra, District President Bhagaban Panda, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, Member of Parliament Abhimanyu Sethy, and Bhandaripokhari MLA Sanjeeb Mallick, who all encouraged the devotees.

Leaders from all political parties and police officials supervised the smooth conduct of this massive public festival. The eye-catching, decorated chariots and brilliant lighting arrangements truly captivated the hearts of lakhs of devotees.
