ସୁପର ଟାଇଫୁନ୍ 'ବାଭି'ର ପ୍ରଳୟଙ୍କାରୀ ରୂପ । ରୋଟା ଦ୍ୱୀପ ଉପରେ ଅତିକ୍ରମ ବେଳେ ରଚିଲା ତାଣ୍ଡବ। ସ୍ଥଳଭାଗ ଛୁଇଁବା ପରେ ବ୍ୟାପକ କ୍ଷୟକ୍ଷତି। ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତ ମହାସାଗରରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଥିବା ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିଝଡ଼ର ପ୍ରଭାବ ସ୍ଥଳଭାଗ ଛୁଇଁବା ପରେ ପବନର ବେଗ ଘଣ୍ଟା ପ୍ରତି ୨୪୦ କିଲୋମିଟର ରହିଥିବା ବେଳେ ଝଟକା ପବନର ବେଗ ଘଣ୍ଟା ପ୍ରତି ୩୪୫ କିମି ଯାଏଁ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲା।
Super Typhoon Bavi unleashed its destructive force after making landfall on Rota Island in the Northern Mariana Islands. The powerful storm caused widespread damage as it swept across the island with sustained winds of around 240 kmph, while wind gusts reached up to 345 kmph, making it one of the strongest storms of the year.
