Sundargarh RTO Traffic Inspector Arrested While Accepting ₹20,000 Bribe; ₹14 Lakh Cash Seized

ବନ୍ଧା ହେଲେ ସୁନ୍ଦରଗଡ଼ RTO କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟର ଟ୍ରାଫିକ୍ ଇନ୍ସପେକ୍ଟର। ୨୦ ହଜାର ଟଙ୍କା ଲାଞ୍ଚ ନେଉଥିବା ବେଳେ ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ ହାତରେ ଧରାପଡିଥିଲେ ମୁକେଶ କୁମାର ମିଶ୍ର। ଜଣେ ଟ୍ରକ୍ ମାଲିକଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ସେ ଏହି ଲାଂଚ ନେଉଥିଲେ। ଦୁଇଟି ହାଇୱା ଚଲାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଲାଞ୍ଚ ମାଗିଥିଲେ ଟ୍ରାଫିକ ଇନ୍ସପେକ୍ଟର ମୁକେଶ କୁମାର ମିଶ୍ର। ଟଙ୍କା ନେଉଥିବା ବେଳେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆଜି ଧରାପଡିଥିଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସୁନ୍ଦରଗଡ଼ର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ରେଡ୍ କରିଥିଲା ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ।
Mukesh Kumar Mishra, a Traffic Inspector at the Sundargarh Regional Transport Office (RTO), was arrested by Odisha Vigilance after he was allegedly caught accepting a ₹20,000 bribe from a truck owner. According to the source, he had allegedly demanded the money to allow the operation of two Hyva trucks. Following the trap, Odisha Vigilance conducted raids at multiple locations in Sundargarh. During the searches, officials recovered and seized ₹14 lakh in cash from his residence. He was later arrested and produced before the court for further legal proceedings.
