ସୁକତେଲ ଉତ୍ତେଜନା । ରାତି ଅଧରେ ୬ ମୁଖିଆଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇନେଲା ପୋଲିସ । ବଲାଙ୍ଗିର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଲୋଇସିଂହା ବ୍ଲକ କୁମିଆଁପାଲି ଗାଁ ମଣ୍ଡପରେ ଅସ୍ତ୍ରଶସ୍ତ୍ର ଧରି ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନରେ ବସିଥିଲେ ୮୪ ଟି ଆଦିବାସୀ ପରିବାର । ୩ ଦିନ ହେଲା ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନରେ ବସିଥିବା ବେଳେ ଗତକାଲି ବିଳମ୍ବିତ ରାତିରେ ପୋଲିସ ଉଠେଇ ନେଇଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ ହୋଇଛି । ରାତିରେ ଗାଁ ଲୋକେ ମଣ୍ଡପରେ ଶୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ହଠାତ ପୋଲିସ ପହଞ୍ଚି ୬ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇ ନେଇଛି । ଗୋଟିଏ ପଟେ ଡ୍ୟାମ ପାଣି ମାଡି ଆସୁଥିବା ବେଳେ, ଆଦିବାସୀ ମାନେ ଗାଁ ଛାଡିବାକୁ ନାରାଜ । ଗତକାଲି ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ, ଉପ-ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ବୁଝାସୁଝା କରିବା ପରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମାନିନଥିଲେ ଆଦିବାସୀ । ଓଲଟା ସରକାରୀ ଯୋଜନାର କାର୍ଡ ସବୁ ଫେରାଇ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ।

Tension has escalated over the Suktel Dam project after police allegedly detained six tribal leaders during a late-night operation at Kumiapali village in Loisingha block of Balangir district. Around 84 tribal families had been staging a protest for the past three days, refusing to leave their village despite rising dam water levels.
According to the protesters, police arrived at the village mandap while residents were asleep and took away six people. Earlier, talks held by the Additional District Magistrate and Sub-Collector failed to resolve the standoff. The protesting families also returned government welfare cards, reiterating their opposition to relocation.
