Senior student leader Devendra Nath Mahato, a prominent member of the Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM), ended his indefinite hunger strike at Jaipal Singh Stadium in Ranchi by drinking water. Mahato had been staging the fast as part of his protest, and formally called off the agitation at the protest site. The indefinite hunger strike concluded at Ranchi's Jaipal Singh Stadium.
