As the holy month of Ashadha brings Rath Yatra celebrations across Odisha, a centuries-old Jagannath Temple at Prem Nagar, Berhampur, continues to witness a unique tradition. Although Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Sudarshan are worshipped here every day, the deities have not been taken out on a Rath Yatra for nearly 50 years due to the lack of a chariot, a Mausi Maa Temple, adequate space and financial resources.
