In a major development from Puri, police conducted an encounter on Omkareshwar Road targeting murder accused Chandan Pallar, who was later injured and admitted to the district hospital for treatment. According to reports, the accused was linked to the recent Baliapanda area murder case involving hotel owner Pabitra Nayak. The incident had earlier shocked the locality after the hotel owner was found dead under violent circumstances. Police have intensified their investigation following the encounter.
