A postpartum woman allegedly died after she was not treated at Khariar Hospital in Nuapada district during the ongoing doctors' agitation. The deceased has been identified as Geetanjali, wife of Bhal Kharsel, from Birighat village. According to her family, she delivered a baby on the way to the hospital and was later taken to Khariar Hospital, where they allege she did not receive medical treatment due to the protest. The family then attempted to shift her to Raipur, but she reportedly died on the way.
The deceased's family has alleged that medical negligence led to Geetanjali's death. These allegations are made by the family and have not been independently verified.
