ମହାନଦୀ ଜଳ ବିବାଦର ସମାଧାନ ଦିଗରେ ଆସିଛି ଏକ ସକାରାତ୍ମକ ସଙ୍କେତ । ଆଜି ମହାନଦୀ ଜଳ ବିବାଦ ଟ୍ରିବ୍ୟୁନାଲରେ ଶୁଣାଣି ପରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଆଡଭୋକେଟ୍ ଜେନେରାଲ୍ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ ସରକାର ଆପୋଷ ଆଲୋଚନା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ବିବାଦର ସମାଧାନ ପାଇଁ ରାଜି ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ଆସନ୍ତା ଜୁଲାଇ ୨୩ ତାରିଖରେ ହେବାକୁ ଥିବା ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଶୁଣାଣି ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ ସରକାର ଏହି ସହମତିକୁ ଟ୍ରିବ୍ୟୁନାଲରେ ଲିଖିତ ଆକାରରେ ଦାଖଲ କରିବେ। ଏହା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଉଭୟ ରାଜ୍ୟର ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ଆଲୋଚନା ହୋଇସାରିଛି।ତେଣୁ ଆପୋଷ ଆଲୋଚନା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ମହାନଦୀ ଜଳ ବିବାଦର ଶୀଘ୍ର ସମାଧାନ ହେବ ବୋଲି ଆଶା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଆଡଭୋକେଟ୍ ଜେନେରାଲ୍ ପୀତାମ୍ବର ଆଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ।

A positive breakthrough has emerged in the long-standing Mahanadi water dispute as the Chhattisgarh government has agreed to resolve the issue through mutual discussions with Odisha. Following the hearing before the Mahanadi Water Disputes Tribunal, Odisha Advocate General Pitambar Acharya said Chhattisgarh has expressed its willingness for an amicable settlement of the dispute. The neighbouring state is expected to submit its consent in writing before the Tribunal ahead of the next hearing scheduled for July 23. Discussions on the issue have already taken place between the Chief Ministers of both states, raising hopes for an early resolution of the Mahanadi water-sharing dispute through dialogue and consensus.
