More than 40 goats were killed after being run over by a speeding train near Kadopadar in Boudh district. The incident occurred when a herd of goats was crossing the railway tracks and came in the path of the approaching train.
The bodies of the goats were found scattered along the railway track, causing heavy losses for the goat owners. The affected families have alleged losses worth lakhs of rupees and have demanded government assistance and proper compensation for the damage.
