The Odisha Government has approved the landmark Gyanodaya – Shiksharu Samruddhi scheme, making education free from Kindergarten (KG) to Postgraduate (PG) level. The scheme will come into effect from the 2026–27 academic session, following the Cabinet decision taken yesterday. Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj described the move as a major step towards ensuring affordable education for all.
