Sitakanta Rana, the In-charge Principal of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) at Thuamul Rampur in Odisha's Kalahandi district, was allegedly caught red-handed by Odisha Vigilance while accepting a ₹10,000 bribe. According to the source, the alleged bribe was taken for clearing the three-month salary bill of women belonging to the Self-Help Group (SHG) managing the school's mess. The Vigilance officials apprehended him during the alleged transaction, and the case relates to the processing of the pending salary bill of the SHG members.
