ପୁରୀ ରଥଯାତ୍ରା ଭିଡ଼ ଭିତରେ ଅଣନିଃଶ୍ବାସୀ ହୋଇ ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଳୁଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଘଟଣା ପରେ ମେଡ଼ିକାଲ ଯାଇ ସ୍ଥିତି ଅନୁଧ୍ୟାନ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୁକେଶ ମହାଲିଙ୍ଗ। କେଉଁ ପରିସ୍ଥିତିରେ ଅଘଟଣ ଘଟିଲା, ଆଉ କେହି ଆହତ ଅଛନ୍ତି କି ନାହିଁ, ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପଚାରି ବୁଝିଛନ୍ତି। ଅଘଟଣ ସଂପର୍କରେ ଗ୍ରାଉଣ୍ଡକୁ ଯାଇ ସ୍ଥିତି ଅନୁଧ୍ୟାନ ପାଇଁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ। ସେହି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଅନୁସାରେ ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପୁରୀ ମେଡ଼ିକାଲରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଛନ୍ତି।
Odisha Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling visited Puri Medical College & Hospital to review the situation following the deaths of two devotees who reportedly suffered suffocation amid the Rath Yatra crowd. The minister enquired about the circumstances of the incident and the condition of any injured devotees while carrying out an on-ground assessment as directed by the Chief Minister. During the review, he stated that the incident was not caused by a stampede, and the administration continues to assess the situation and provide necessary medical assistance.
