A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Sanabarli village in Papadahandi Block of Nabarangpur district, where the family of 55-year-old Padman Harijan was forced to carry his body through muddy paddy fields and slippery embankments to reach the cremation ground. The ordeal occurred because there is no proper road connecting the village to the burial site.
