Mahalakshmi Symbolically Breaks Nandighosha Chariot During Hera Panchami in Puri

ଶ୍ରୀଗୁଣ୍ଡିଚାର ପଞ୍ଚମ ଦିବସରେ ହେରାପଞ୍ଚମୀ ନୀତି କାନ୍ତି ପାଳନ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଶ୍ରୀଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ ଶ୍ରୀଅଙ୍ଗରୁ ଆଜ୍ଞାମାଳ ଆସି ମହାଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀଙ୍କୁ ଦିଆଯିବା ପରେ ପୂଜା ବଢ଼ି ଧୂପ ଦୀପ ଦିଆଯାଇ ଟେରା ପଡ଼ିଥିଲା । ଏହାପରେ ମହାଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀଙ୍କ ବିମାନ ଜଗମୋହନରୁ ନାକଚଣା ଦୁଆର ପାଖରେ ଭିତରଚ୍ଛ ମହାପାତ୍ର ବନ୍ଦାପନା ଓ ଦହିପଟି ମଣୋହି ବଢ଼ାଇଥିଲେ। । ନୀତି ଶେଷ ହେବା ପରେ ମହାଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀଙ୍କ ବିମାନ ଶ୍ରୀଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ ରଥ ପାଖକୁ ନିଆଯାଇ ରଥ କାଠ ଖଣ୍ଡିଏ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଦିଆଯିବା ପରେ ହେରା ଗୋହିରୀ ସାହି ବାଟେ ମହାଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀଙ୍କୁ ବଡ଼ଦେଉଳକୁ ବାହୁଡ଼ା ବିଜେରେ କରିଥିଲେ।

The sacred Hera Panchami ritual was observed at Shree Gundicha Temple in Puri on the fifth day of the annual Rath Yatra. As per tradition, Goddess Lakshmi was ceremonially taken in a palanquin to Lord Jagannath's chariot on Bada Danda. After receiving the Agyan Mala, the prescribed rituals were performed, following which a symbolic portion of the chariot was broken before the Goddess returned to Shree Jagannath Temple.
