A low-pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal and is likely to intensify further over the next two days. Under its influence, Odisha is expected to receive heavy rainfall over the next five days. A rain alert has been issued for western, northern, coastal and interior districts of the state, with authorities advising caution as the weather system strengthens.
