କେନ୍ଦୁଝର କାନପୁରରେ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଲା କପର୍ ଡ୍ୟାମ୍ । କଣ୍ଡରାଠାରେ ବୈତରଣୀର କାନପୁର କପର୍ ଡ୍ୟାମ୍ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଲା। ବୈତରଣୀ ନଦୀରେ ହଠାତ୍ ପାଣି ଆସିବାରୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଲା କପର୍ ଡ୍ୟାମ୍ । ଡ୍ୟାମ ଭାଙ୍ଗିବା ପରେ ବୈତରଣୀର ତଳିଆ ଅଂଚଳ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସତର୍କ କଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନ। ଡ୍ୟାମର ସ୍ପିଲଓ୍ବେ ନିର୍ମାଣ କାମ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ମାଟିର ବନ୍ଧ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ତେବେ ଡ୍ୟାମରେ ବିପୁଳ ପରିମାଣର ବର୍ଷା ପାଣି ପ୍ରବେଶ କରୁଥିବାରୁ କଫରଡ୍ୟାମ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଯାଇଛି।
A coffer dam at Kanpur near Kondara in Keonjhar district has breached following a sudden rise in water flow in the Baitarani River. The temporary earthen structure had been built to facilitate spillway construction work at the dam site. According to the source, heavy inflow of rainwater into the dam caused the coffer dam to collapse. After the breach, the administration issued a warning to people living in low-lying areas along the Baitarani River and asked them to remain alert.
