A differently-abled young woman from the Kuruda area of Balasore was rescued after she allegedly attempted to take an extreme step on the Balighat Bridge over the Budhabalanga River under the jurisdiction of Balasore Town Police Station. According to reports, local journalists intervened in time and prevented the incident before handing her over to the police.
