The Chitrakonda Forest Division achieved a major breakthrough against inter-state timber smuggling during a late-night patrolling operation. Forest officials intercepted a pickup vehicle near Mantriput village and seized 10 pieces of timber logs allegedly being transported from the Korukonda area towards Andhra Pradesh. One accused person has been detained and the vehicle has been taken into custody by the Forest Department.
