Hilsa fish has become difficult to find in Balasore markets this year, with only limited quantities available at a handful of fish shops.
Normally, July and August see a good Hilsa catch, which brings down prices and allows fish lovers to enjoy the seasonal delicacy. But this year, the situation is different. From Dhamra in Bhadrak to Balaramgadi in Balasore, the source report says there has been no good Hilsa catch, leaving the fish markets unusually quiet.
