Even as Odisha continues to grapple with the impact of the current low-pressure system, weather models indicate the possibility of another low-pressure area forming over the northwestern Bay of Bengal. According to model projections, the state may witness widespread rainfall between July 12 and July 15, with July 14 likely to receive the heaviest downpour. Northern and coastal districts are expected to be the most affected, while southern Odisha could also experience extremely heavy rainfall if the system intensifies. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not yet issued any official warning, and the forecast is currently based on various weather model projections.
