ନଦୀ ଉପରେ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଯାତାୟତରେ ସୁବିଧା ପାଇଁ ୧୧କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ବ୍ୟୟରେ ନିର୍ମାଣ ହୋଇଥିଲା ବିଜୁ ସେତୁ। ହେଲେ ଏହି ସେତୁ ଲାଗି ଲୋକ ଭୋଗୁଛନ୍ତି ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା। ସେତୁର ତିନୋଟି ସ୍ପାନ ଗତ ବର୍ଷ ବନ୍ୟାରେ ଦବିଯିବା ପରେ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନ ଏହାକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଦେଇଥିଲା। ନଦୀ ମଝିରେ ଅସ୍ଥାୟୀ ରାସ୍ତା କରି ଯାତାୟତ ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରିଥିଲା ପ୍ରଶାସନ । ଯାହା ଏବେ ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣିରେ ବୁଡି ଯାଇଛି। ଏଦୃଶ୍ୟ ହେଉଛି ଯାଜପୁର ବକ୍ଲର ଚଇନିପୁରରୁ ବେଲେଶ୍ବର ମନ୍ଦିର ନିକଟରେ ବୈତରଣୀର ନଦୀରେ ନିର୍ମାଣ ହୋଇଥିବା ବିଜୁ ସେତୁର।
The temporary road built to restore connectivity after damage to the Biju Setu over the Baitarani River has been submerged by floodwaters, disrupting transportation for residents of Chainipur and nearby villages in Jajpur district. The bridge, constructed at a cost of ₹11 crore, suffered severe damage when three of its spans subsided during last year's floods. Following the incident, the district administration demolished the unsafe portion and created a temporary road through the river for public movement. However, the makeshift route has now gone under floodwater, leaving villagers to face commuting difficulties once again. Residents say they have been struggling with transportation issues for the past two years.
