Floodwater Enters Maa Bhattarika Temple as Mahanadi Water Level Rises

କଟକ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ବଡମ୍ବାର ଅଧିଷ୍ଠାତ୍ରୀ ଦେବୀ ମାଆ ଭଟ୍ଟାରିକା ଙ୍କ ଗର୍ଭଗୃହ କୁ ପଶିଲା ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ। ମହାନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଯୋଗୁ ମନ୍ଦିର ଭିତରକୁ ପଶିଛି ପାଣି। ମନ୍ଦିର ଭିତରେ ୫ ଫୁଟ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଛି। ମନ୍ଦିର ବୁଡିବା ସହ ଚାରିପଟ ପାଣି ପଶି ରହିଛି। ମାଆ ଭଟ୍ଟାରିକାଙ୍କ ଚଳନ୍ତି ପ୍ରତିମାଙ୍କୁ ପୂଜକ ମାନେ ରତ୍ନଗିରି ପାହାଡ଼ ଉପରେ ଥିବା ସର ଘରକୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରିଛନ୍ତି।

Nearly 5 feet of floodwater entered the Maa Bhattarika Temple at Badamba in Cuttack district after the Mahanadi River witnessed a rise in water level. The floodwater reached the Sanctum Sanctorum, submerging the temple premises.
