ବାସୁଦେବପୁରର ବନ୍ୟା ବିପନ୍ନ ଲୋକେ ଗତ ୮ ଦିନ ଧରି ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଜୀବନ କାଟୁଛନ୍ତି। ଘର ଭିତରେ ଆଣ୍ଠୁଏ ଉଚ୍ଚର ପାଣି ଜମି ରହିଥିବାରୁ ସିମେଣ୍ଟ କଡେଇ, କାଦୁଅ ଏବଂ ଖାଲି ତେଲ ଟିଣ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରି ଉଠା ଚୂଲି ତିଆରି କରି ରୋଷେଇ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ଲୋକେ। ଗାଁକୁ ଗ୍ୟାସ ଗାଡ଼ି ପହଞ୍ଚିପାରୁନଥିବା ବେଳେ ଜାଳ ଓ କାଠ ଭାସିଯାଇଛି।
Flood-affected residents of Basudevpur have been living in waterlogged conditions for the past eight days, with knee-deep water still standing inside their homes. Unable to use their regular kitchens, families are preparing meals on makeshift raised stoves built using cement pans, mud and empty oil tins. The flood has also disrupted the supply of LPG cylinders, as gas delivery vehicles cannot reach the village, while firewood and other fuel have been washed away, leaving residents to struggle for their daily meals.
