Special Officer for Rath Yatra Management Soumendra Priyadarshi said comprehensive arrangements were made this year keeping last year's untoward incident in mind. He stated that barricades were put in place immediately after the chariots reached their destination, and a one-way entry and exit system was implemented for devotees. According to the official, these crowd management measures enabled a large number of devotees to have smooth darshan of Lord Jagannath during the Rath Yatra.
