Normal life came to a standstill in Daspalla after the Electricity Consumers' Association called for a bandh, alleging that the government has failed to address their long-pending demands. Roads remained largely deserted from early morning, with residents extending support to the shutdown. The protest aims to press the government to take immediate action on the association's grievances.
