ମହାନଦୀରେ ମାଡ଼ି ଆସୁଛି ବନ୍ୟା । ଆଜି ରାତିରେ ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ମୁଣ୍ଡଳି ଦେଇ ପାସ୍ କରିବ । ସାଢେ ୯ ଲକ୍ଷ କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ଅତିକ୍ରମ କରିବା ସମ୍ଭାବନା ରହିଛି । ତେଣୁ ଆଜି ରାତି ଏବଂ ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି ବେଶ୍ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ । ମହାନଦୀର ଶାଖା ନଦୀ ଲୁଣା, କରାଣ୍ଡିଆ, ଚିତ୍ରତ୍ପୋଳା, ପାଇକା ଏବଂ ଦେବୀ ନଦୀରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ବନ୍ୟା ଆସିବ। କନ୍ଦଳ, କୁଶଭଦ୍ରା, ଭାର୍ଗବୀ, ଦୟା ନଦୀରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଳସ୍ତର ବଢ଼ିବ। ବନ୍ୟାରେ ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା, ପୁରୀ, ଜଗତସିଂହପୁର, କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡ଼ା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହେବ । କଟକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବାଙ୍କୀ ଓ ଆଠଗଡ଼ ଅଂଚଳ ମଧ୍ୟ ମହାନଦୀ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହେବ। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସଂପୃକ୍ତ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ତଳିଆ ଅଂଚଳ ପାଇଁ ସତର୍କ ସୂଚନା ଜାରି ହୋଇଛି।

A major flood situation is unfolding in Odisha as more than 9 lakh cusecs of floodwater is expected to pass through Mundali on the Mahanadi River tonight, making the next 24 hours crucial. Rising water levels are also expected in the Mahanadi's distributaries, including the Luna, Karandia, Chitrotpala, Paika, Devi, Kandala, Kushabhadra, Bhargavi, and Daya rivers. The flood is likely to affect the districts of Khordha, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, and parts of Banki and Athagarh in Cuttack district. Authorities have issued alerts for people living in low-lying areas and advised them to remain vigilant.
