Baitarani Floods Hit 84 Villages in Jajpur; Over 3,000 People Evacuated

ବିପଦ ସଂକେତ ଉପରେ ବୈତରଣୀ। ଏକାଧିକ ଗାଁ ଭିତରେ ପଶିଛି ପାଣି। ବନ୍ୟା ଆସିବା ଦ୍ବାରା ଯାଜପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ତିନିଟି ବ୍ଲକର ୨୮ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ୮୪ ଗାଁ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହୋଇଛି। ୩ ହଜାରରୁ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରାଯାଇଛି। ବନ୍ୟାକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ରଖି ଆଜି ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ସମସ୍ତ ସରକାରୀ ବେସରକାରୀ ସ୍କୁଲ, କଲେଜ ଓ ଅଙ୍ଗନବାଡ଼ି କେନ୍ଦ୍ରକୁ ଛୁଟି ଘୋଷଣା କରାଯାଇଛି। ଅନ୍ୟପଟେ ବୈତରଣୀ ନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଯୋଗୁ ବୁଢ଼ା ନଦୀର ଜଳ ସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଛି। ଯାହାଦ୍ବାରା ଅନେକ ଗାଁ ଜଳମଗ୍ନ ହୋଇଛି।

The Baitarani River has crossed the danger level, causing floodwaters to inundate several villages in Jajpur district, Odisha. The floods have affected 84 villages across 28 Gram Panchayats in three blocks, forcing the evacuation of more than 3,000 people. All government and private schools, colleges, and Anganwadi centres in the district have been closed as a precaution.
