Following the suspension of former DFO Sangram Keshari Behera, Abhiram Mahapatra, the father of deceased ACF Soumya Ranjan, has demanded further action in the case. He has called for the arrest of his daughter-in-law Bidyabharati and cook Manmath Kumbha, besides seeking a fresh investigation into the death of his son. The demand comes after the latest action taken against the former DFO in connection with the case.
