The Excise Department seized 256 grams of brown sugar worth an estimated ₹25 lakh from a car in the Haldipadia area under Laxmisagar Police Station in Bhubaneswar. One accused, identified as Satyabadi Parida, has been arrested and is being questioned by the police. According to the source, investigators are probing the origin of the seized narcotics and trying to identify other persons allegedly involved in the drug trafficking network. The investigation is currently underway to uncover the wider supply chain behind the illegal trade
