ବିନା ଦୋଷରେ ଜେଲରେ ୨୨ ବର୍ଷ। ଏହାପରେ ଦୋଷମୁକ୍ତ କରିଛନ୍ତି ସୁପ୍ରିମକୋର୍ଟ। ନବରଙ୍ଗପୁର ଥାନା ହିର୍ଲି ଗାଁରେ ଘଟିଥିବା ବୀଭତ୍ସ ହତ୍ୟାକାଣ୍ଡ ମାମଲାରେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ସାବ୍ୟସ୍ତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ଅର୍ଜୁନ ଜାନି। ମାମଲାକୁ ନେଇ ଉଦବେଗ ଜଣାଇବା ସହ କଡା ଟିପ୍ପଣୀ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଉଚ୍ଚତମ ନ୍ୟାୟାଳୟ। ୩ ଜଣିଆ ଖଣ୍ଡପୀଠ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ବିନା ପ୍ରମାଣରେ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ୨୨ ବର୍ଷ ଛଡ଼ାଇ ନିଆଗଲା। ଏହା ଆମ ନ୍ୟାୟ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ସାମୂହିକ ବିଫଳତା।
In a landmark judgment, the Supreme Court has acquitted Arjun Jani, who spent 22 years in prison in connection with a brutal murder case from Hirli village under Nabarangpur Police Station in Odisha. The apex court held that he was convicted without sufficient evidence and declared him innocent.
