Allegations of financial irregularities have surfaced over the renovation of Kalinga Studio, one of Odisha's prestigious film institutions. The Film Producers' Association has claimed that despite a ₹200-crore project undertaken during the previous BJD government's tenure, the studio remains unsuitable for film shooting. Actor and BJP MLA Siddhanta Mahapatra had also earlier questioned the expenditure and audit of the project. Responding to the allegations, the Industries Minister said the government would initiate action if a written complaint regarding corruption is received. The minister further stated that the renovation work has been completed and the studio will be inaugurated soon.
